Building Your Dream Team. This activity will help you plan and build a strong team for your mock-up start-up, ensuring that you have the right people with the right skills to bring your business idea to life.

Instructions:

  1. Read the article about start-up roles: A Founder’s Guide to Startup Roles 
  2. Identify the key roles needed for your mock-up start-up 
  3. For each role, outline the responsibilities and skills required from the article.
  4. Reflect on your own strengths and weaknesses and assign yourself a role within the team.
  5. Identify any gaps in skills or experience that need to be filled by other team members.
  6. Consider where you can find potential team members (e.g., friends, family, online platforms, etc.).
  7. Write a brief description of each team member’s role and responsibilities to clarify expectations according to your start-up business idea.
  8. Reflect on how building your team will help you achieve your business goals and the importance of teamwork in entrepreneurship.
