How To Create Your 30 Second Elevator Pitch

Instructions

  1. Develop Your Elevator Pitch: Create a brief (30-60 seconds) elevator pitch for your startup idea. It can be the same idea you created earlier in the course, or after 35 weeks of this course you may have changed your idea or developed it further, this is a good chance to revise it. Your pitch should include a brief introduction, a description of the problem your startup solves, your solution, and why it’s unique.
  2. Practice in Front of a Mirror: Stand in front of a mirror and practice delivering your elevator pitch. Focus on your posture, facial expressions, and vocal delivery to convey confidence and enthusiasm.
  3. Record Yourself: Use a smartphone or webcam to record yourself delivering your elevator pitch. Watch the recording and take note of areas where you can improve, such as pacing, clarity, and body language.
  4. Seek Feedback: Share your recorded elevator pitch with a friend, family member, or mentor. Ask for feedback on your delivery and areas for improvement.
  5. Iterate and Practice: Based on the feedback you receive, make adjustments to your elevator pitch and practice delivering it until you feel confident and comfortable.
  6. Deliver Your Elevator Pitch: Once you feel confident, find opportunities to deliver your elevator pitch in real-life situations. This could be in networking events, pitch competitions, or even to friends and family.
