Project Description

So how do you go about developing essential life skills? As we learned in this course, it is important to track, journal, log, and implement a plan. Follow the instructions and good luck on your future goals!

Instructions

  1. Documentation: Grab a journal or a notebook, or open a Word Document and start going through these steps. Keep that journal or digital document to track your progress. Note any challenges you face and how you overcome them.
  2. Self-Assessment: Reflect on your current proficiency in these life skills mentioned in the videos above. Identify areas where you excel and areas where you could improve.
  3. Goal Setting: Based on your self-assessment, set specific, measurable goals for improving your life skills. For example, “Improve time management by creating a daily schedule and sticking to it.”
  4. Skill Development Plan: Create a plan outlining the steps you will take to develop each life skill. Include specific actions, such as taking an online course, asking questions to your parents or family members, practicing effective communication with friends, or creating a budget.
  5. Implementation: Begin implementing your skill development plan. Take small, consistent steps towards improving each life skill.
  6. Reflection and Adjustment: Regularly reflect on your progress and adjust your plan as needed. Celebrate your successes and learn from any setbacks.
  7. Final Reflection: At the end of the activity, reflect on how developing these life skills has benefited you. Consider how you will continue to prioritize and improve these skills in the future.
