Project Description 

BBQ Across the States. Explore and present different types of BBQ from various regions across the United States through researching and creating a presentation.

Instructions 

  1. Research BBQ Styles: Different regions are known for different unique BBQ styles (Texas, Kansas, Memphis, North Carolina, Arkansas). Research the history, techniques, and signature dishes of BBQ from each region.
  2. Gather Information: Collect information on the types of meat commonly used, smoking methods, sauces, rubs, and any unique traditions or cooking techniques associated with each region.
  3. Create a Presentation: Using the gathered information, create a brief presentation (3-5 minutes) highlighting the key aspects of BBQ from their assigned region. Include photos, maps, and any interesting facts or anecdotes.
  4. Presentations: Present your findings to your teacher or parent or family member. Discuss how regional differences in BBQ reflect the cultural and historical influences of each region.
