Mirror Exercise for Etiquette and Social Skills. Proceed to the instructions to start your journey on bettering your social skills and basic etiquette through self-reflection and imitation.

Instructions
Select a Skill: Choose a specific etiquette or social skill you would like to work on, such as eye contact, smiling, or posture.

Observation: Stand in front of a mirror and observe yourself as you practice the selected skill. Pay attention to your facial expressions, body language, and overall demeanor.

Imitation: Mimic the behavior of someone you admire or consider to be skilled in the chosen area. Pay close attention to how they use the skill in different situations.

Practice: Practice the skill repeatedly in front of the mirror, focusing on refining your technique and making adjustments as needed.

Self-Reflection: After each practice session, take a moment to reflect on your performance. Ask yourself questions such as:

  • Did I maintain eye contact confidently?
  • Did I smile naturally and sincerely?
  • Was my posture open and inviting?

Feedback Loop: Provide yourself with constructive feedback based on your observations. Identify areas of improvement and set goals for the next practice session.

Progress Tracking: Keep track of your progress over time. Note any improvements you’ve made and areas where you still need to work.

Repeat and Refine: Continue practicing the selected skill regularly, using the mirror as a tool for self-assessment and improvement.
