A man bursted through the door where Ned was sitting and told the Lord that they had found his daughter, Arya. Ned quickly arose and walked over to the very small castle where his daughter was being held. When he entered the room, he rushed over to his daughter as she broke down into tears. He checked with her to see if she was hurt. She assured him that she was fine. Ned arose and asked the king what the meaning of this was, why wasn’t his daughter brought to him the moment she was found? Robert told Ned that he thought it was best just to bring her here instead of taking her to his courters and then bringing her back. The Queen arose and began to bark at Ned, telling him that his “ Savage” daughter and her friend beat her son and had Nymeria rip up Joffrey’s arm. Arya was enraged by the lies the Queen was telling. She spoke up and yelled at the Queen, telling her that she was telling lies. The King barked at the room and silenced them all. He told Arya and Joffrey that they would both have their time to speak. He told Arya to speak first. When she got to the part about throwing Joffrey’s sword into the lake, his Uncle Renley Baratheon chuckled and was told to leave. After Arya was done speaking, Joffrey spoke. He said something completely different from Arya. Then randomly man brought in Sansa (she had been missing as well). After a while of arguing, Robert decided that the best decision was to kill one of the dire wolves. Since they couldn’t find Nymeria, the only one they could kill was Lady ( Sansa’s Wolf). When Sansa heard this, she began to break down in tears. She couldn’t believe that her wolf, which did nothing wrong, was going to die. The Queen was going to have Ser Illyn kill the wolf, but Ned declined and said he would do it. He didn’t want a butcher to kill the wolf. When Ned went outside, it was hard for him to do it, but he had to; he stabbed the wolf. After doing it, he saw a bunch of men, including the Hound, coming back from something. The Hound told Ned that they couldn’t find the wolf, but they found something else. Ned lifted the tarp and saw the face of the Butcher's boy covered in dried blood. Ned asked The Hound, “ You ran him down?”, “Ya, he was fast, just not fast enough.” |
