Free essay; You
We have to accept change, hurt, love, emotions, life's laws, flaws, and our cats claws. We have to accept the world. The breaking, the tip toeing, the loud sounds, the crowding, and the mysteries. Everyone wants to know 'what' or 'why'. "What happened" or "why so". Everyone wants the secrets, the quietness, the plants to grow. 'Everyone wants what they can't have' they say. But why do they say that? Because life gives you opportunities, life gives you work, life gives you something to always run to. You will cry, you will laugh, you will live.
To go down those paths you go through school. You graduate kindergarten, then make your way through elementary school, hurt your way through middle school, work your way through high school, and continue your path into college, then on to universities. Then you're an adult, you're on the road, on your own. But through those years of being an adolescent you struggled, you learned how life works, how other people are, and mostly who you as a person are. You developed and worked on who you were going to be. You were a teenager.
You weren't irresponsible but you didn't have many responsibilities, you don't have a lot of work to do yet, you are not living leisurely, you're not an adult who doesn't play at all yet, you're not a child who spends their day playing. A part of you is discovering life and the other is constructing it. You love too hard or too less, you're too cool, too lame, or otherwise just a loner, you believe in everything or nothing, you care so much or not enough, you follow rather than lead, you smile as you cry, you laugh at yourself or at others, you don't listen or listen too much.
But the breaking could be fixed, the tip toeing was loud, the sounds grew quieter, the crowds disappeared, and the mysteries were just rumors spreading. The mysteries were like the secrets, the quietness was like the tip toeing, and plants grew tall and beautiful. You developed into who you really were, the people you followed, the people who chose to be rather than were showed what was really in you. And you learned from it all, learned the power of the world, the power of peoples words, the power of intrusive thoughts. You became you. |
