Detective Scarlett: The diamond heart is missing!

It was a rainy day, cold as a dog's nose. Detective Scarlett was sitting in her office with Purrlock, her pet cat. Scarlett was waiting for mysteries to solve, she was the best detective in the whole city. 10 minutes later the phone rang and Purrlock handed the phone to Scarlett. "Hello Detective Scarlett's office," I said."Mayor's office?! Hello Mayor Lucy, THE DIAMOND HEART IS MISSING!!!" she yelled so loud that Purrlock slowly bumped off the desk and landed on his feet. She put the phone down and she and Purrlock left the office and headed to City Hall. Mayor Lucy was standing there and Coolville City Deputy, Amanda was putting tape around the glass case that once contained the Diamond Heart. "Someone stole the Diamond Heart, but the security camera didn't pick it up, the alarm didn't sound either." said Mayor Lucy. I went under the yellow tape and Purrlock tapped my leg with his paw and showed me fingerprints that messed up the glass case and on the ground was an alarm that had been disabled. "Good job Purrlock! This clue might help us find the thief." I gave him a kitty treat. I kept a collection of finger prints of everybody in the city, even the mayor's! But I couldn't find any matching fingerprints on the glass case."Hmm, we might need to find somebody in the city who we don't suspect, it could even be the old lady down the street!" I said. I thought of her using a rope to get in City Hall disable the camera with a flash drive so anybody would just see the same video, and also disable the alarm. "Nope," I said "She's too old." Purrlock, however had an idea. He took the fingerprint book, and flipped through the pages. He came to a page with the fingerprints of strangers we didn't know and looked more closely at the glass case. He sniffed around and finally he found a glove that the thief probably used. I stared in awe. "Purrlock, you sometimes outsmart me by a 100%." He stood up proudly. I brought the glove to Lily Mei, a scientist. She tested the DNA on the glove and matched it to my Arch Nemesis: Ryder Stark, someone who we really suspected. We got the Diamond Heart back and Ryder was arrested (5 times in a row!) When Purrlock and I were interviewed on the news, I said, "Purrlock helped me, a lot" Purrlock affectionally cuddled on my lap and purred. THE END
